It was early in the morning. The house was quiet and I was debating getting out of bed but my soft pillow and warm covers got the better of me and I drifted off to sleep again.
The next thing I knew, there was a toddler trying to climb in bed with me and the baby was screaming from her crib because the light was turned on and she was left alone. I hurried to get out of bed, dress and calm the baby before the whole house was awakened. I never wanted to do that again! Yet I repeated it at least a few times a week and after a wake up like that my entire day followed suit. It seemed I was putting out fires for the rest of the day and could never get on top of things.
